On 31st October students studying Spanish from Year 3 to Year 7 attended a Movie Night at the School which was dedicated to the Mexican festivity of the Day of the Dead.
The film depicts several of the customs associated with the festival paying homage to Mexican literature, ballad, Art Mexican themes, Frida Kahlo, fantastical folk creatures, and harks back to the golden age of Mexican Cinema.
Students not only enjoyed the Movie learning about Mexico but also ate pizza and were accompanied by a “Mexican Catrina”!
Fun and happiness has been recorded into different photos. We can’t wait for next year when an original “Day of the Dead” Party will be organized.
