Blood Donation at the English School 2021

The voluntary offer of blood is acclaimed conduct of altruism and humanitarian solidarity.

On Friday 10th of December 2021, the English School organised the traditional Blood Donation event, which has been taking place for more than 40 years. The event took place at the sixth and seventh form study centre.
 
The pandemic did not allow us to organise the event last year and we were excited that this year students and Staff were again able to participate in the worthwhile cause. All Covid protocols were followed and the event was a success with over 60 volunteers. Amongst them were students (boys and girls of age 17 and over), and members of Staff.
 
The School encourages the students to be involved in community service in general and we are proud that they have actively been participating in this very ambitious scheme which aims to cover all blood needs of Cyprus on a voluntary basis.
 
Our sincere thanks go to all the volunteers and to the student Committee which was set up to help in organising the event.
