On December 20th, 4 Jade, accompanied by their Form Tutor Ms Chryso Constantinou, presented an assembly on the topic of antipoverty. As Mahatma Gandhi famously said, "Poverty is the worst form of violence."
During the assembly, the students thoroughly explained what poverty is and outlined the various types of poverty that exist. They also highlighted the work of international NGOs that are dedicated to eliminating poverty around the world.
At the end of the assembly, the students concluded with a festive Christmas song, reminding their audience that while helping one person may not change the world, it can certainly change the world for that individual.
Well done, 4 Jade! The saying goes, "We will either find a way or make one." Your dedication to spreading awareness about this important issue is admirable.
