In celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8th, the Music Department is featuring the work and words of women composers in classical music, film, television, video games and here at school.

From Clara Schumann to Tina Toprak, women composers have been advocating gender equality and shattering glass ceilings whilst creating inspiring music. The new GCSE and GCE Music syllabuses include works from female composers such as Kate Bush, Anoushka Shankar and Esperanza Spalding.
