Congratulation to Gregoris Orphanides (5B) and his team, for the outstanding achievement in Robotics.
Gregoris Orphanides is a student in 5 Black, and a member of the Epiteugma Engineering Overflow Team. Other team members are Christos Soteriou, Michalis Pitsilis and Antreas Kourris from public high schools.
Epiteugma Engineering Overflow team, received the “Best of the Best” awards in two categories, namely Line-Follow Enhanced and Maze Solving, in the Robotex 2018 Cyprus Robotics competition, organized by Cyprus Computer Society (CCS).
The “Best of the Best” award is open to all age groups, university students and graduates, participate in the competition, that makes winning this award so special.
Gregoris has been taking robotics classes at Epiteugma Training Centre over the last six years and has been participating in robotics teams representing Cyprus and distinguishing themselves in international robotics competitions, such as First Global Challenge 2017 (Washington DC, USA), Robotex 2017 Estonia (Tallinn, Estonia) and First Tech Challenge 2018 (Haifa, Israel).
Well done to Gregoris and his team mates. We are very proud!
